Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. This page exists two months early because the useful part of a deals page is not the deals - it is knowing which product classes have historically discounted deeply, which have barely moved, and therefore what is worth waiting for. Everything below is from published coverage of previous sale seasons, dated and cited. We have predicted nothing, and when the 2026 deals go live they will be posted here.

Which smart home security gear discounts on Black Friday?

On the record of the 2025 season: cameras and video doorbells from the brands Amazon owns discounted deepest; mid-priced cameras and doorbells from eufy, Reolink and TP-Link moved by roughly a third to two-fifths; sensors and hubs from Aqara and THIRDREALITY moved by a fifth to nearly half; and smart locks moved least, with the premium deadbolts from Schlage, Yale and Level in the range of a sixth to a quarter. Google's Nest cameras were described by one deals editor as rarely on sale at all. The table sorts the record by product class.

Three things the record shows that the headlines do not

1. The deepest discounts are on the gear this site does not recommend

The half-off cameras every November are the cloud-first ones, and their sale price is the entry fee to a plan. A camera at half price that records nothing without a monthly payment is not a bargain for a buyer who came here to avoid the payment; over five years the plan outweighs the saving several times, which is the arithmetic in the subscription cost table. The local-storage cameras discount less steeply because their list price is the whole cost of ownership.

2. Prime Day and the October event set the floor before November does

Amazon has run a Prime members' sale in October in each of the last several years - October 7-8 in 2025 - as well as Prime Day in July. On the record, eufy's doorbell hit roughly the same price in July 2026 as it had in the 2025 holiday season, a few dollars short of its November low (9to5Toys, Jul 2 2026). For that class of product, waiting for November has historically bought a marginal extra cut, not a different price. The 2026 October dates had not been announced when this page was written.

3. “Was” prices are not all equal

One 2025 report singled out THIRDREALITY for not raising prices before its sale, which is a backhanded description of the rest of the field. A discount computed from an inflated list price is smaller than it looks. The honest comparison is against the price the product actually sold at in the weeks before, and that is why every button on this site shows a dated live price rather than a percentage.

Buy today or wait for November, by product class

This is guidance from the record above, not a forecast. Every line assumes you already know which product you want; the rankings for each class are linked.

Cloud-first cameras and doorbells: wait, or reconsider

If a Ring or Blink camera is the decision, the record says November has consistently been the cheapest time, by a wide margin. But the plan is the real cost, and a subscription-free alternative bought at any time of year is usually cheaper over five years. Ring versus eufy works the arithmetic.

Local-storage cameras and doorbells: buy when the live price is near the recurring sale level

eufy, Reolink and Tapo have discounted at similar levels at Prime Day, the October event and Black Friday. If the live price on the button is already within a few dollars of the previous season's sale figures reported above, waiting has historically bought little. If it is at full list, the record favors waiting. Rankings: cameras, doorbells.

Sensors and hubs: buy when needed

The percentages are attractive but the tickets are small; a two-fifths discount on a door sensor is the price of a coffee. Aqara and THIRDREALITY have run sales at Prime Day and in November, so the next sale is never far away. A hub is the exception worth timing - it is the largest single item in a sensor estate. Budget and mid-range locks: modest reason to wait

Aqara, Ultraloq and Kwikset's mid-range locks moved by a quarter to two-fifths in 2025. That is a real saving on a lock, but it is dwarfed by the cost of the wrong lock. Spend the waiting time on the door measurements rather than on refreshing a listing. Ranking: budget smart locks.

Premium deadbolts: little reason to wait

Schlage, Yale and Level moved least in 2025 - a sixth to a quarter, and the Schlage cut in the one report we could verify was in the mid-teens. If a lock in this class is needed now, the record does not support waiting two months for it. Ranking: smart deadbolts.

PoE systems and shutoff valves: no record, so no advice

We found no reliable 2025 deal record for complete NVR kits or automatic shutoff valves, and we will not invent one. Buy on need.
